Curing Kids Cancer Badge

MidAtlantic IADA's Dedication to Curing Kids Cancer

MidAtlantic IADA is hosting a live and silent auction as part of the event, and we're looking for donations to make it a success. Every yard gained through the auction will go directly to Curing Kids Cancer, a team that's making big plays in the fight against childhood cancers. Let's huddle up and help give back to this amazing organization that's tackling childhood cancer head-on.

Now, here's the exciting part – we're running a vendor competition that's going to be a total tailgate showdown. The company that brings the most attendees to the event will score big: MidAtlantic IADA will write a $2500 check to Curing Kids Cancer with the winning vendor's name proudly displayed on it.

Curing Kids Cancer's Ongoing Mission
By Gráinne Owen, Co-Founder and President, Curing Kids Cancer

As we share another impactful year with our supporters, I am both astonished and excited by the incredible progress we’ve made together in the fight against childhood cancer. With the unwavering support of our community, Curing Kids Cancer has raised over $29 million, a testament to our collective efforts. Yet, the true measure of our success lies not in the amount we raise, but in what we can achieve with it to help “our” children.

Everyone’s contributions are vital to advancing pediatric cancer research, enabling the development of more effective and less toxic treatments tailored to the unique needs of children.

Traditional adult therapies are often too harsh for young bodies, and your support ensures that we can continue to make significant strides in creating better treatment options. Thanks to our dedicated donors and community, we have empowered doctors to make remarkable advancements through collaborations with medical institutions, researchers, and philanthropic partners. Our successful fundraising events, such as fire truck pulls and golf tournaments, have not only raised essential funds but also united communities in the fight against pediatric cancer. Additionally, patient families have become ambassadors for CKC, organizing events in partnership with us to honor their children and all children who have battled these diseases. Our resilience mirrors the enduring strength of Killian Owen, whose courageous battle against Acute Lymphocytic Leukemia (ALL) continues to inspire Curing Kids Cancer. Although Killian’s time with us was too short, his bravery, resilience, and spirit fuel our mission to eradicate childhood cancer. His legacy lives on in every life saved, every breakthrough achieved, and every family given hope through our efforts. As we reflect on our impact and your generous contributions, we honor Killian’s memory and pledge to continue the fight until no child has to endure the pain of cancer. Thank you for your dedication and support as we strive to create a future where no child suffers from cancer. With heartfelt gratitude and many blessings to you all.
